Snow Day Inspiration

The snow is dancing to the ground outside my giant window right now. It’s cold out there! My Woodworker had to put in some extra time at the Fire Station yesterday, so I have had some extra time on my hands to plot our next few projects.  We are working on opening a “shop” of sorts as well, so stay tuned for that! As soon as we have items ready to go (and listed) then I will be sharing that with you here on the blog!

For today, here are some things that I have been adding to my “we could make that!” list… 🙂 Enjoy!

Gray colored chalk board.

Shaped chalkboards! How cute are these? Not to mention the fact that I can make these all by myself since they don’t require a frame or any kind of joinery. I would love to have a few more of these around the house … and they would make great gifts, too!

This is such a lovely way to bring the outdoors in. I think I'd use drift wood or something worn instead.

This little beauty is from urbanplusforest on Etsy. I love the mixture of the organic branch inside of a more standard shadow box. I think it would be even better with raw, untamed wood for the frame like driftwood or even old barn wood.

Ike and the Wall Buttons

And then there’s this. That little dog might be even cuter than the buttons… it’s really a close call. 🙂 I would love to have a few of these down in my sewing room for whimsy and color! Every room in our home is beige – which is a great place to start, but it does get rather drab and boring. There is a pretty good tutorial for making these buttons right here, on her blog.

There you have it, some inspiration for your snow day. You’re welcome. 🙂
